it is a tiny red dot and now its pink cuz i busted it. what can i put on it. should i be worried it is there two weeks. it has not gotten bigger and doesn%26#039;t itch. just a pink dot. maybe 1cm|||I occasionally get tiny ones in the middle of my breasts. It could be keratosis pilaris. I have a few patches and I normally treat with mild scrubbing and moisturizer. The moisturizing helps the most. They could also be in-grown hairs.

Anyway, the site below says that KP looks like acne and one of the places it%26#039;s found is on the thighs, so this might be it?

I thought it was an ingrown hair but I cut it and I bled horribly then after a week or so it grew again. it has a rough surface and its hard, does not hurt when i touch it|||It could be a number of things. Mole, psoriasis, cyst, sun cancer....but these are just guesses as I can%26#039;t see it.

The best thing to do would be to get it looked at by a doctor. To rule out a little skin cancer go to your local skin clinic and get it checked out. Doctors there are trained to recognise lumps and bumps. something overnight please|||I usually use toothpaste or a dab of hydrogen peroxide, it helps to dry it out and such.

But it might not completely go away overnight, so i%26#039;d stick with a tiny bit of concealer.|||I clean it with rubbing alcohol and then put neosporin on it and the redness fades away. Make sure to keep the area clean|||sasylic acid is good. its used in a lot of the garnier pure products- and that really helps the redness to be reduced. also try exfoliating around it.

if all fails use a good sponge tipped concealer (lighter than skin tone is better than darker) to cover the spot.|||Hey i have a huge pimple on my nose its so red. lol...and yes im a teenager im 14 years of age.|||put some ice on it. it will help stop the bleeding and make the swelling go down. dont put alchol on it, it will burn like hell. if anything put witch hazel on it, it is an antiseptic and it wont burn when you put it on. next time dont pop!! leave them alone. you can make it worse or make scars on your face.|||leave it alone now that you have popped it. the blood will dry overnight, and in the morning you can use a dot of makeup or cover up.|||Put toothpaste on it and quit popping them.

Lately I%26#039;ve been getting a lot of redenned areas, inflamated in my scalp. At first, they were like itches, big, inflamated, they%26#039;d kinda hurt and if I scratched them, they%26#039;d just become wounds. Now they are somewhat like pimples, they tend to collapse with pressure. Sometimes they shed usual white grease like pimples do, and sometimes they look infected, with greenish matter.

I have tried almost everything I could to no effect. Can somebody give me any tips on what this is called, possible causes and treatments?

|||It sounds like a zit not a pimple.. pimples are a lot smaller and only lasts a few days at most.. The way I get rid of zips is to pop them.. When you see that white puss stuff under then skin it means it is ready to be popped (which if you pop it tonight it should be gone by the time you wake up tomarrow) I just poke at it until the white stuff all drains out of it.. when the white stuff drans out all that is left is the redness which will go away tomarrow.|||Until the white stuff is gone altogether it won%26#039;t heal completely.

So take a hot clean compress, repeat. Sterile sewing needle.

Thxx=D|||st. ives apricot scrub is very effective, I%26#039;ve found. you%26#039;ll also want to drink lots of water and eat enough fruit, and make sure not to touch it too much - this%26#039;ll make it worse. also avoid greasy or oily foods for a while. when i do that i find that its gone within 3-4 days ^__^ |||DO NOT pop the pimple until it is white. I know you%26#039;re going to get anxious and want to do it really badly, but if you do this, you%26#039;ll only aggravate the pus underneath the skin and make the pimple spread. To dry it out and draw the pus to the surface, alternate between letting toothpaste or OXY-10 dry it out on the surface and then hot compresses. |||put a dab of toothpaste on it before you go to bed, this helps dry it out. Then the next morning, use your st ives apricot scrub. Keep it clean, and dont touch it or pick at it! Good luck :)|||st. ives scrub for mornings and nights..

You need to make sure that no bacteria or dirt gets inside your pore once the pimple is gone. Hi, I recently had a pimple, and now i think it is infected. Its very swollen and puffy, on my left cheek, and now it is saur. I dont know what to do about it. The next thing I would do is to sterilize the area with either hydrogen peroxide 3% solution, for disinfecting wounds, or use iodine, to sterilize the wound. After that, I would put an antibiotic ointment on it, like %26quot;polysporin triple healing%26quot; or %26quot;bactroban%26quot;, which is another antibiotic ointment or cream. The next day I would check it out, if it is still swollen, repeat the procedure again, squeeze puss out until there is none left, sterilize with hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball, or several cotton balls dipped in hydrogen peroxide 3% solution for disinfecting wounds. Apply antibiotic ointment again. Maybe you can do this procedure morning and evening, if really bad. (the whole procedure)

Note: Hydrogen peroxide can dry the wound, use hydrogen peroxide regularly on wound until it goes away, you can stop using the antibiotic ointment after a few days, don%26#039;t need a bandaid on it, leave it to breathe, and please do not sleep on that side of your face.

Next time you get a pimple, break it and apply hydrogen peroxide 3% solution. Also it is important to keep your face and hands clean, and if you are sweating, that may plug your pores, so best to use washcloth and wash your face with soap. If this continues, you might try %26quot;Clearasil%26quot; it helps pimples go away, I never used it, I did the first procedure. Anyways, if the pimples get out of hand go visit the doctor, and get referred to a dermatologist (that is a doctor specializing in skin disorders, they know more about skin problems than you regular practitioner, since they specialized in the study of skin disorders). i have a big red pimple on my nose. What is the best pimple cream you can buy ?|||i know it might be painful but your fastest way to get rid of it is to just pop it, at first it might be painful but remember once your got that inital pop it wont hurt no more, just make sure you squeeze all the crap out once the spots poped. after you might want to add something anti bacterial to it, maby TCP or savlon any anticeptic creme.

you could add toothepaste which dried the spot out, but instant sucsess and no pain (after the pop) would have to be to just squeeze it. trust me ive been in your position mate.

I have a pimple like bump on my cheek, it has been there for over 6 months and has not gone away. Ive tried popping it but it has no head and it is deep in my skin. Also tried burning a needle and poking it but nothing happened besides some very minor bleeding. Can some explain what this is? I can feel a massive cystic pimple coming!?

God, I HATE these. It%26#039;s basically right under my nose and I want to find the best and quickest way of getting rid of them. A few weeks ago I broke out in them around my face and without knowing how easy they scarred, I%26#039;ve got really noticeable scars around my mouth.

Basically what I%26#039;m saying is how do I get this massive thing gone WITHOUT scarring!|||The best thing to do is to put some ice on it- trust me it will reduce the redness and swollen tissue around it. It will get a little hard, especially in the middle, this is a good thing. The ice also facilitates the penetration of the medication you will be applying directly on the mound. After the ice- put some good quality benzol peroxide on it. Be aware of the drug store kind that has other non-active ingredients, the best kinds is the one that only had benzol peroxide. This will not get rid of it in an hour, but trust me, next morning it will be less noticeable. You could also get a cortisone shot directly on it, but i hear that hurts like a motha!!!|||Best way to avoid scarring, is to not pop it or bother it by picking or anything of that nature. I know its annoying, but it really looks better and goes away faster if you just let it heal and go away on its own.

Since you feel the pimple now and you know its coming the best way to bring all the gunk to the top is with hot water. Take a q-tip or cotton ball depending on the size of the infected area and douse it in hot water, that is not scolding but hot. Just not so hot it will hurt your face.

What helps me in that type of situation is to wash my face and use a toner and moisturizer, then I apply some on-the-spot pimple remover cream or something for on the spot pimples and leave it on my pimple all night. When I wake up I do the whole thing over again, but instead of using on the spot pimple cream i take an ice cube and put it on the pimple. This really really helps with the swelling and redness. If you want the pimple to come to a head, apply a hot towel to it.

my son has been using pine tar soap for a lil over a month now. it has really helped clear it up. he had it really bad. huge sores on his face, back and some on his arms and chest. you can get it thru your pharmacy. it costs about $4 a bar and a bar can last 3-4 wks.|||Just a thought, is your face oily?

I had acne by 7th grade. My parents coulndn%26#039;t help me since they %26quot;NEver had acne%26quot; so when i asked them to buy me acne products they told me %26quot;IF YOU WANT A PRETTY FACE THEN USE YOUR OWN MONEY%26quot;

I went from noxcema, to oxyclean, to stridex, to clearasil, to Johnsons and Johnsons persa gel, to Proactive, to MUrad, then to Tetracycline...then finally to minocycline and Retina micro.

By this time i had small acne scars here and there. Retin-a Micro did make me break out but it stopped my acne in about

2 months, but by then the initial break out you have to go through gave me a lot of marks.

My suggestion is if you have acne then treat it first with atibiotics such as minocycline this helps to lessen inflamation of pimples (this starts to work in about a month) then by then you should use retina micro...this way your initial breakout is less imflamated and you should reduce acne pigmentation.

but that is just my theory.

By the way i hate acne and even though i clean my face everyday i still get it. I am one of those who is just battling and ****#n pissed off at acne. I also heard that birth control pills may help against acne that is due to hormones being all over the place.

But I will tell you this there is one product i will reccomend to you. There aren%26#039;t any miracles out there you hear me, no miracles. Understand that clearing a pimple from your face takes time and effort. A pimple%26#039;s life is about 2 and a half weeks long.

The only product that worked the best for me other than prescription drugs was Neutrogena On the Spot Acne treatment , this was the best over the counter product i ever used. THe secret is that unlike clearasil that uses 10 percent benzoyl peroxide which in fact just burns the hell out of your face, neutrogena uses 2.5 percent which will sting but it shouldnt burn as much as clearasil.

I recommend you wash your face only 2 times a day morning and night, and also after exercises.

And use a light moisturizer that doesnt clog your pores. I use the aveeno ultra calming moisterizer.

O and by the way you will have to buy the good stuff in order to see results. none of that cheap stuff. I recommend shopping at walmart or target.

Use a gentle cleanser in the morning such as Aveeno%26#039;s Ultra Calming cleanser or Purpose facial cleanser(purpose is for really sensitve skin) and if you are serious try to find a cleanser with the lowest Salicylic acid percentage. I have only seen 2 percent in the market but if you find 1 percent or 1.5 percent or others then buy them.

Then, touch is with the tip of an ice cube for about 30 seconds. This helps the inflammation go down.

Next, treat it using a dab of acne medicine on the zit (saylinic acid or benzyl peroxide). When that is dry, put a dot of concealer (such as Cover Girl fresh complexion concealer) on the zit. Pat with your finger until it is fully covered and the concealer matches your skin color. You may need one more layer of concealer to fully cover it.

A pinch of baking soda

Mix it together

You could try to put toothpaste on it before you go to bed. My friend did it and it worked. It dries it out and makes it look less noticable.|||Toothpaste really does work. Use the white kind, not one of those blue gels or whatever.

Easy. I promise it will work. Don%26#039;t pop it. Just leave it alone. take a shower, then put the toothpaste on it and go to bed. Take a shower in the morning.|||This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it%26#039;s very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin.
