Bacterial infection pus pimple what should i do?

i am on antibiotics and now thers a pimple of yellow pus very small should i puncture it with a sterile needle and try to drain it?

does it help to put ice bag or warm clothe on it?|||You could try an old fashioned bread and milk poultice. It will draw the puss out.

You take a square of bread, dip it in milk, squeeze out the milk and put it on the area and cover with a bandaid. Leave it overnight - it%26#039;ll be gone.

It sounds like what you have is a Boil.|||yes do that. then put tea tree oil on it twice a day until it heals|||Try putting some hydrogen peroxide on it.

WARNING: IT WILL HURT LIKE A MOTHER FELLA!!!!!!

But it will clean it.|||have someone pop it then put some preoxide on it n then cover with some a %26amp; d ointment|||You may not believe this, but, this really works...

Get an old 8mm mechanical pencil...(the one with the lead %26quot;out of it%26quot;), and make sure that the %26quot;mechanism%26quot; is in the %26quot;up%26quot; position.

Now, put it over the %26quot;head%26quot; of that white pimple and twist and slowly push in...

You will find that the pimple will %26quot;go into%26quot; the pencil, and as you twist, the thing will simply dissapear into the pencil, then, you remove it, and twist the mechanism so that the pencil will %26quot;bring out%26quot; the offensive white head.

We used to do this in the military, when I was a kid, and it still works today! But, it has to be an 8mm or larger pencil as the smaller ones will not %26quot;fit%26quot; the pimple inside of it.

For the %26#039;soreness%26#039;, just put a warm wash clothe over it before you do this.

I wish you well...

Jesse|||If the doctor has put you on an antibiotic and still this is not working, I would suggest you see a dermatologist or some kind of specialist to get this matter taken care of as soon as possible. and no, do not burst the pimple that is draining with yellow pus.Let your doctor tend to this matter, you don%26#039;t want it to get worse.|||No! Never pop a rised surface as such! You will scar! It%26#039;s better to let it go down it%26#039;s self then for it to be there for ever (Scar). Your best bet is to shower twice a day with Hot, Cold or warm water. (People say it makes a difference with what water temp but honestly it doesn%26#039;t) Warm water would be your best bet.

Stay away from soap, it will irratate the skin.

You want to care the skin and not harm it.

So try these, let it get plenty of air.

Wash it (With out soap - use Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser Gentle Bars) or even the liquid soap of Cetaphil.

More air, and let it heal.

I know it looks ugly but honestly if you pop it will always be there (Scar).

It will eventually discharge on it%26#039;s own.

Stay away from OTC (over the counter) products such as BP (Benzoyl peroxide) and SA (Salicylic Acid) Since these may cause it to irratate more.

Benzoyl Peroxide is good for pimples since it drys it out.

Salicylic Acid is good too since it removes dead skin cells and clears clogged pores.

But with it being as such - you let it get air, you wash it with either water it%26#039;s self or a GENTLE CLEANING BAR. Never use soap.

I hope this helps, and after it drains it%26#039;s self which it will - apply a small ammount of Neosporin or such on it and care for it by repeating a shower.

If it turns red after it has healed try (Palmers Cocoa-Butter Lotion) Generally used for stretch marks, but usually works on any kind of red marks. And it is cheap as well.

Ceptiaphil can be bought at any general store.

And so can Palmers Cocoa-Butter Lotion.

Care and let it have Air. :-) Hope this helps.

P.S. a warm cloth will help too as you said, but you still need it to breathe.|||tea tree oil
